Vintage/Antique W.S. GEORGE 6 Derwood Style in Rhapsody Pattern Dessert/ Berry Bowls. I believe from the 40s era.
American fine China manufacturer W.S. George. The style is Derwood, and the pretty pink wheat sheaths and ribbon are known as the Rhapsody pattern. 5.5" across. Great condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing. You get 6 bowls.
Bowls are lined in gold and has the maker's marking, along with Made in USA printed on the bottom.
The Derwood dinnerware shape lines were introduced in 1910 and continued in production through the 1940s. Best guess is that these bowls are closer to the 1940's end of that date range. The W.S. George Pottery Company was established in 1904, and filed for bankruptcy in 1955. The company had factories in Pennsylvania and Ohio
